On June 24, 2023, Allison and Charles exchanged vows against the backdrop of one of the tallest waterfalls in the country. The couple’s ceremony took place at the Inn at Taughannock Falls, a 12-acre estate in Taughannock Falls State Park. With its stunning views of Cayuga Lake and its rich history as part of the Finger Lakes region, the Inn offered a romantic and stunning setting for Allison and Charles’s wedding.

The Ceremony
Allison and Charles’s ceremony took place outdoors in the Enchantment area of the Inn at Taughannock Falls, the grandest outdoor luxury venue in the Northeast. Surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of Cayuga Lake, the Enchantment area features a massive fireplace, two fire pits, customizable lighting, and a 12,550 square-foot custom blue stone patio.
For the ceremony, guests were seated under a large tent, with the aisle leading through the assembled guests to the outdoor patio altar. The intimate feel of the ceremony was enhanced by the small wedding party, consisting of four close friends and family members. The bridesmaids wore light blue dresses, while the groomsmen sported classic black tuxes.
Cocktail Hour and Dinner
Following the ceremony, guests transitioned into cocktail hour, which continued outdoors in the venue’s large sailcloth tent. The tent was decorated with strung white lanterns and clear chandeliers, adding a soft, romantic glow to the space. The wooden tent poles were adorned with greenery, and beautiful bouquets of flowers from Arnold’s Flower Shop were scattered throughout the space.
During cocktail hour, guests enjoyed beautifully plated passed appetizers and refreshing cocktails and wine. The white dinner tables and chairs drew attention to the stunning centerpieces – large bouquets of wedding flowers stood on tall vases at the center of each table, featuring bright white flowers with pops of pink and green. The place settings included gold charger plates, light blue linen napkins, and silver silverware.
Once the guests were seated for dinner, Allison and Charles took their first dance, followed by a delicious meal. Throughout the dinner, guests enjoyed toasts and speeches from loved ones. The evening concluded with the traditional father/daughter and mother/son dances.
The Dance Floor
After the first dances, the dance floor was opened to all of the guests, and it was time to party! The couple took a brief break to cut the cake, a stunning three-tier white cake decorated with intricate designs and florals. Assorted desserts were also served to guests.
For those seeking a break from the dance floor, the venue offered plenty of options for areas to convene. Guests could relax by the large outdoor stone fireplace or the bonfire area on the patio for a cozy gathering spot.
