Emily and Troy’s wedding at The Lookout at Hope Lake was the kind of day that just felt good from the start. Sunny skies, mountain views, a crowd ready to celebrate, and a couple who clearly knew how to throw a party.
The Lookout, part of Greek Peak Mountain Resort, is a dream for couples who want both the wow factor and the space to make it their own. With panoramic views, a massive 4,500 square foot reception area, and a covered patio that brings the outdoors in, it’s a venue that delivers on scenery and setup.
From scooter entrances and a surprise ice cream truck to an audio guestbook that had guests lining up to leave messages, the day was packed with details that kept people smiling. Here’s how it all came together.
A Mountain View Wedding Day at The Lookout
The Ceremony
Emily and Troy’s ceremony took full advantage of the view. Set outside at The Lookout, guests were greeted with blue skies, fresh mountain air, and a backdrop of tree-covered peaks that honestly didn’t need much else.
A stone path led the way to a white arbor, framed by rows of white chairs and just enough greenery and florals to keep things simple but beautiful. The flowers were mauve, cream, rust, and blush, and stood out in the best way against all that natural green.
Envision was on hand to handle the audio and music, keeping the vibe smooth from start to finish. Emily walked in with her dad to “How Long Will I Love You” by Ellie Goulding, which had more than a few people tearing up. And as soon as the ceremony wrapped, the mood lifted with “I Only Want to Be With You” by Post Malone—a fun, modern choice that kicked off the rest of the celebration.
The Reception
After the ceremony, guests headed straight into cocktail hour and made the most of that mountain view. Everyone was out on the patio snapping photos, sipping drinks, and grazing on an impressive spread of appetizers. The music kept things feeling light and easy, with a laid-back mix of classic oldies and some modern country favorites like Zach Bryan.
Once it was time to head inside, things shifted into party mode. The wedding party made their grand entrance to “Bring Em Out” by T.I., and they did not disappoint. One pair rolled in on scooters, while another came through waving a giant cutout of the groom’s head! It was high energy, hilarious, and definitely unforgettable.
Emily and Troy were officially announced and went straight into their first dance, swaying to “Nothing Can Change This Love” by Sam Cooke. It was sweet, simple, and felt just right. From there, the night kept flowing: parent dances, a few toasts, and a dinner soundtrack made up of romantic songs from all different eras, keeping the mood warm and happy.
A few guest favorites stood out in a big way. First up: the audio guestbook from Love After Tone. People lined up all evening to leave messages—some sweet, some a little ridiculous, all completely perfect. And then there was the ice cream truck, which rolled up for dessert and turned everyone into a kid again.
The Dance Floor

If the rest of the day was full of sweet moments and fun surprises, the dance floor was where everything came together. This crew showed up ready to party, and they did not hold back. From the first song to the last, the energy never dipped; people were singing, jumping, dancing, and pulling strangers into group circles. It was that kind of night.
Envision was behind the booth, DJing the reception and working closely with Emily and Troy to build a setlist that matched their vibe: fun, a little nostalgic, and completely unskippable. The playlist blended early 2000s throwbacks, high-energy country, and sing-along favorites that had the whole room moving. Whether it was Destiny’s Child, ABBA, or Eric Church, there was something for everyone.
As the night wound down, the energy stayed high. The final songs to end the night were “Forever Young” by Jay-Z and Mr. Hudson, followed by “Closing Time” by Semisonic. It was the kind of ending that felt like a perfect wrap on a day no one wanted to leave.
