Venue & Vendor Team
On this beautiful spring May afternoon at the Skaneateles wedding venue The Sinclair of Skaneateles we celebrated the marriage of Anna & Patrick. For their wedding reception, I provided wedding DJ services and ceremony sound. Our day started out with guests arriving to the wedding ceremony site located on the grounds right behind the Sinclair where I had already had complete wedding ceremony sound discreetly hidden for the ceremony. As guests took their seats, I provided the music and set the ceremony vibe with a mixture of Anna & Patrick’s instrumental requests they had requested. Before taking my spot to run ceremony sound, I checked in with my wedding photographer, Bridget of By Bridget Photography a Syracuse Wedding Photographer. Side note, Bridget’s wonderful photos can be seen posted with this blog for readers to enjoy. Anna & Patrick’s ceremony was a beautiful intimate ceremony that ended with guests cheering as Anna & Patrick kissed and made their recessional out of the ceremony leading us into the cocktail hour.
Cocktail Hour, Bride & Groom Introduction, Toast
As guests mingled, I hit play on the music for the cocktail hour with a mix with a lot of familiar classics like my Wedding Dinner – Rat Pack, Crooners & Italian Playlist, which I have on Spotify account for couples to use for classic rock cocktail music ideas. As everyone began taking their seats at the conclusion of cocktail hour, I got all the wedding guests excited for the wedding party introductions about to take place. Guests got excited as I welcomed in Anna and Patrick as the weaved through ecstatic crowd landing right on the center of the dance floor to share their first dance together as husband and wife to the first dance song “More” by Frank Sinatra. Right after the huge applause from Anna & Patrick’s very upbeat fun first dance, we immediately went into a few toasts from the days Matron of Honor, Best Man, and a Groomsman.
Cake Cutting, Parent Dances & Open Dance Floor
After all toasts had been given, everyone dined while I played dinner music with a few of the songs off my Wedding Dinner – Chill & Acoustic Spotify Playlist combined with some of Anna & Patrick’s modern slow pop requests. At the conclusion of a wonderful meal provided by in house Sinclair caterer Rosalie’s Cucina, we transitioned into Anna & Patrick’s cake cutting of the cake that was made by Anna’s mother and immediately jumped right into parent dances after the cake was cut. First to start parent dances where Anna & her Father Mike who shared their moment together dancing to “Magic Time” by Van Morrison. After a big applause at the conclusion of the Father Daughter Dance it was time for Patrick to dance with his mother Amy to “Good Time” by Alan Jackson. This song was chosen by Amy and Patrick as a nod to Patrick’s family being from the Western states and we encouraged all guests to join them on the dance floor as Amy and Patrick led everyone with the line dance steps which kicked off our dance party for the rest of the evening. Once I opened the dance floor it remained full for the entirety of dancing with so many great hits from Motown, Classic Rock, 2010’s Pop and Current Pop and dance hit tracks concluding the 80’s sing along ballad “Take Me Home Tonight” by Eddie Money.
