On this beautiful July day at the Greek Peak Mountain Resort’s new event location The Lookout we celebrated the marriage of Danielle and Deepak. For their wedding ceremony and reception, I provided wedding DJ services as well as complete sound and microphones for the ceremony. Our day started out with guests arriving to the wedding ceremony site at the top of the hill in front of The Lookout giving a beautiful view in the background of the mountain resort. Prior to guest showing up I had already had complete wedding ceremony sound discreetly hidden on the wedding ceremony grounds. Before taking my spot to run ceremony sound, I checked in with my wedding photographer for the day Kristy of Kristy’s Imagination Photography who is a Binghamton based photographer whose beautiful photos can be seen as part of this very blog post. Danielle & Deepak’s ceremony was just lovely with the mountains of the resort acting as a perfect background for their wedding ceremony to take place. Danielle & Deepak spoke their beautiful vows with each other before sharing their first kiss and leading everyone out for the recessional taking us to the cocktail hour of the reception which was held under the covered overhang of the lookout.
Cocktail, Introductions & First Dance
As guests mingled, my “Wedding Dinner – Sing-Alongs Mellow” Spotify playlist set the vibe for cocktail hour until guests were invited inside for the wedding reception portion of the evening. As everyone made their way into The Lookout, I got all the wedding party staged for their wedding party introductions. Guests got excited as I welcomed in the wedding party with the conclusion of Danielle & Deepak making their way into the reception with a thunderous applause from all their guest as “This is What You Came For” by Calvin Harris and Rihanna played and worked perfectly to energize their guest. Once the applause died down Danielle & Deepak shared a quick welcoming speech expressing their gratitude and thanking their wedding guests for sharing the special day with them. After their welcoming Danielle & Deepak took their spots on the dance floor and share a beautiful choreographed dance together to a custom-made song just for their first dance moment.
Dinner and Dancing
Transitioning from first dance we all sat for a wonderful meal provided by Greek Peak. Soundtrack for dinner was also one of my Spotify playlists picked by the couple “Wedding Dinner – Sing-Alongs Upbeat” that I mixed in with some Bollywood tracks that Danielle & Deepak had requested. As dinner came to an end we enjoyed the Father Daughter dance with Danielle and her father as the danced to “This Dance” by Scott Thomas Laughridge. Immediately after the father daughter dance we were treated to a special dance by all the groomsmen which were followed up with an also exciting bridesmaids dance before Danielle & Deepak headed over to the cake to make their ceremonial first cut. Once cake was cut, we all enjoyed a short video on the big screen at The Lookout showing clips of Danielle & Deepak’s special moments throughout their relationship leading up to their wedding day. After all formalities had wrapped up there was nothing but dancing for the rest of the night with a great wide mix of Bollywood, Latin and Top 40 pop hits which kept the dance floor pack right up until the last song “Beware of the Boys” by Panjabi MC feat.
