Meg and Brian Wedding

Meg & Brian’s Sinclair of Skaneateles Spring Wedding

Venue & Vendor Team

On this beautiful spring April day at the Skaneateles wedding venue The Sinclair of Skaneateles we celebrated the marriage of Meg & Brian. For their wedding reception, I provided wedding DJ services and ceremony sound. Our day started out with guests arriving to the wedding ceremony site in front of the fireplace inside the Sinclair where I had already had complete wedding ceremony sound discreetly hidden in the Sinclair’s reception area. As guest took their seat musicians Kevin & Mark provided the music and set the ceremony vibe. Before taking my spot to run ceremony sound, I checked in with my wedding photographer Katie Conway a Syracuse Wedding Photographer. Side note, Katie’s wonderful photos can be seen posted with this blog for readers to enjoy. Meg and Brian’s ceremony was a beautiful intimate ceremony that ended with guest cheering as Meg & Brian kissed and made their recessional out of the ceremony leading us into the cocktail hour.

Cocktail Hour, Wedding Party Introductions, First Dance & Parent Dances

As guests mingled, I hit play on the music for the cocktail hour with a mix with a lot of classic rock similar my Wedding Dinner Playlist, which I have on Spotify account for couples to use for classic rock cocktail music ideas. As everyone began taking their seats at the conclusion of cocktail hour, I got all the wedding party staged for their wedding party introductions. Guests got excited as I welcomed in the wedding party followed by Meg and Brian coming in last. Meg and Brian headed right to the center of the dance floor to share their first dance together as husband and wife to “Hooked on a Feeling” by Blue Swede. Right after the huge applause from Meg & Brian’s very upbeat fun first dance, we immediately went into the parent dances where Meg danced with her father Marty at the same time as Brian danced with his mother Michelle. The song Meg and Brian choose to dance with their parents to was “You’ll be in my Heart” by Phil Collins.

Toast, Dinner & Dancing

Transitioning from a combined parent dance moment that went over huge with guest we spent a few moments hearing a few wedding party toasts that kicked off with Meg’s parents Kathy & Marty providing the welcoming toast immediately followed by Matron of Honor Meg, Maid of Honor Kathleen and the toast closed out with the final toast by the day’s Best Man Sean. Toast lead to an always wonderful meal provided by in house Sinclair caterer Rosalie’s Cucina. During dinner I played a lot of tracks that can be found on my Spotify list called Wedding Dinner Sing-Alongs Upbeat and my always popular chosen playlist called Wedding Dinner – Rat Pack, Crooners & Italian. Meg and Brian did not bring any attention to their cake cutting and deciding to sneak off with photographer Katie and get pictures cutting into their Skaneateles Bakery wedding cake while guest finished dining and just before we opened up the dance floor for the evening. Once I opened the dance floor it remained absolutely packed for the entirety of dancing with so many great hits from Motown, Classic Rock, 2010s Pop and Current Pop and dance hit tracks and came to the most perfect ending with a punk song “All the Small Things” by Blink 182 to bring closer to another amazing Sinclair of Skaneateles wedding celebration!
