Venue & Vendor Team
On this beautiful June day at the Skaneateles wedding venue The Sinclair of Skaneateles we celebrated the marriage of Sarah & Dan. For their wedding ceremony and reception, I provided wedding DJ services as well as wedding décor uplighting in the reception area. Our day started out with guests arriving to the wedding ceremony site just behind the Sinclair where I had already had complete wedding ceremony sound discreetly hidden on the wedding ceremony grounds. Before taking my spot to run ceremony sound, I checked in with my wedding photography and videography team. Michelle McGrady a Syracuse wedding photographer and Racheal & Jack of The Bixby Co. an Upstate New York videographer company were the wedding vendor team to help me with ceremony coverage. Sarah & Dan’s ceremony was a beautiful intimate ceremony that began with their bridal party walking down the aisle to join Dan and their officiant Leon who were already upfront followed by Sarah as the song “Love Like This” by Ben Rector was playing in the background. After everyone was settled in upfront Sarah & Dan shared the most beautiful written vows to each other followed by their first kiss as husband and wife. Guest cheered on the newlyweds as the made their recessional out of the ceremony as “White Dress” by Ben Rector played.
Cocktail, Introductions & First Dance
As guests mingled, my Acoustic Singer Songwriter Playlist, which I share on Spotify, was playing in the background until guests were invited inside for the wedding reception portion of the evening. As everyone made their way into the Sinclair, I got all the wedding party staged for their wedding party introductions. Guests got excited as I welcomed in the wedding party followed by Sarah & Dan coming in last. I handed them a microphone to welcome everyone and express their gratitude and thanking their wedding guests for sharing the special day with them. First dance immediately followed the welcoming on the middle of the dance floor. Sarah and Dan chose “Ever the Same” by Rob Thomas as their first dance with each other as guest enjoyed this beautiful moment with them. First dance was followed by Sarah remaining on the dance floor and joined by her mother Jane to share a mother daughter dance together to “93 Thousand Miles” by Jason Mraz. After Sarah and Jane’s Dance Dan made his way back out to the dancefloor joined by his mother Gayle as “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts was their chosen song for their mother son dance.
Dinner & Dancing
Transitioning from first dance we all sat for a wonderful meal provided by in house Sinclair caterer Rosalie’s Cucina. Soundtrack for dinner was also one of my Spotify playlists picked by the couple I called “Wedding Dinner Music Rat Pack, Crooners & Italian”. As dinner came to an end, we enjoyed the ceremonial first cut of the Syracuse wedding bakery cake made by Sugar Blossom Cake Shop. After cake cutting was over there was nothing left to do but dance the night away to a wide mix of Oldies, 2010s Pop, Modern Pop, and an occasional 80s and 90s track mixed in through the dance set. As the night came to closure one of the last songs we heard was the ever so popular ballad “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran followed by the very last song and timeless classic “Living On a Prayer” by Bon Jovi. This fun wedding DJ dance set can be heard in full on my Soundcloud account on the titled track “Envision Entertainment 6-11-22 Live Wedding Dance Mix”.
