Venue & Vendor Team
On this perfect August day at the Ithaca wedding venue Inn at Taughannock Falls we celebrated the marriage of Victoria and Joe. For their wedding ceremony and reception, I provided wedding DJ services as well as wedding décor Uplighting in the reception area and cold sparkler fountains for their first dance. Our day started out with guests arriving to the wedding ceremony sites at the inn known as the Enchantment Garden where I had already had complete wedding ceremony sound discreetly hidden on the wedding ceremony grounds. Before taking my spot to run ceremony sound, I checked in with my wedding photography and videography team. Emily of Emily LC Photography who is a Denver Colorado and Canandaigua New York based wedding photographer and Talmage & Keneshia of The Lofty Views an Orlando Florida base wedding videographers were the wedding vendor team to help me with ceremony coverage. Victoria and Joe’s ceremony was a beautiful intimate ceremony on the gardens stairs in at the inn complete with the most beautiful wedding vows they shared with each other. After the wedding party recessional, we were all welcomed to the cocktail hour location in front of the Enchantment Gardens stone fireplace.
Cocktail, Introductions & First Dance
As guests mingled, musicians played guitar until guests were invited inside for the wedding reception portion of the evening. As everyone made their way into the Enchantment Garden tented reception area, I got all the wedding party staged for their wedding party introductions. Guests got excited as I welcomed in the very first surprise of the day which were bagpipers that Victoria wanted to surprise Joe with. The bag pipes where such a big hit the set the high energy for the intro that was about to happen. As I introduced all the wedding party, they all began to stage themselves with groomsmen on one side of a table and all the bridesmaids directly across from them on the other side of the table where they were joined with Victoria and Joe that received a loud cheer form guest as they came up to their spots at the table. The second surprise to guest of the introductions was I began to play AC/DC “Thunderstruck” and the wedding party played an epic drinking game of flip cup on the dance floor with the groomsmen barley winning the battle. After flip cup concluded the dance floor cleared and I started to play so Victoria and Joe could share their first dance together which brought on the final surprise for guest which was when I played “Joy of My Life” by Chris Stapleton Victoria and Joe dipped at a planned point of the song and I set off the cold sparkler fountains effect that when 10 feet in the air behind the couple and all the guest where in complete shock that turned into such a loud applause.
Dinner & Dancing
Transitioning from first dance we all sat for a wonderful meal provided by the Inn. At the conclusion of dinner, we went right into dancing and just like the introductions the dance floor was so high energy for the entirety of the night. It was a wide mix of music with lots great EDM remixes as can be heard here on my Soundcloud “8-20-22 Live Wedding Mix”.
